How it works

Three things get a job booked: a postcode, a job, and a date

No account to create and nothing to guess at. Send the postcode, tell us the job, and give us a few dates that would suit, and we'll take it from there.

On the day

From enquiry to report

  1. Step 1

    Postcode and job

Send the postcode or address and what needs looking at, through the contact form or by phone.

  2. Step 2

    Fixed price agreed

We confirm coverage and a fixed price before the visit, based on the address and the brief, not adjusted on the day.

  3. Step 3

A date that suits the weather

We check the diary and the forecast and come back with a date, rather than book a slot regardless of conditions.

  4. Step 4

    The flight

No scaffolding and no ladders. The aircraft covers the property or land from the air, and nobody needs to provide roof access.

The report

What actually turns up afterwards

The report is the point of the exercise, not the flight itself. It's written up and sent within 48 hours of the visit.
  • Written findings

What the flight found, described plainly, without inventing a diagnosis the imagery doesn't support.

  • Photographs

High-resolution stills from the Hasselblad camera, supplied alongside the report.

  • Thermal imagery

Where a thermal survey was booked, the radiometric readings and what they show.

  • A usable format

Delivered in a format that can be forwarded straight to a roofer, an agent, an insurer or a buyer.

Written report within 48 hours

Whichever town the job was in, the report follows within 48 hours of the flight. That's a process commitment, not a promise about how fast the job itself can be booked in.

Weather and rules

Weather, rescheduling and the rules we fly under

Weather decides the flying day

Wind, rain and poor light all stop a flight. A reschedule for weather is normal and costs nothing, it's never treated as a cancellation.

Flown under CAA rules

Every flight is planned and flown under the Civil Aviation Authority rules that apply to the operation, with the Operator ID and Flyer ID checked beforehand.

Common questions

How do I check if you cover my postcode?
Send the postcode through the contact form along with the job and the dates you have in mind. We'll confirm coverage and come back with a fixed price rather than leave you guessing from a map.
How far do you actually travel?
We're based in Exeter and cover Devon and the wider South West, from close-in towns a few miles out to the far edges of Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset. The areas page lists every town we've written up.
How quickly can you fit me in?
It depends on the diary and the weather, so we won't promise a day before we've seen the job. Tell us the dates you have in mind and we'll confirm what's actually possible.
How much does a survey cost?
A fixed price is agreed before the visit, based on the address and what needs looking at. We don't quote a figure before we know the job.
What happens if the weather's bad on the day?
Wind, rain and poor light all stop a flight. A reschedule for weather is normal and costs nothing, it isn't treated as a cancellation.
Do I need to be there when you fly?
No, though it helps if someone can point out access and any specific areas of concern. The flight itself needs no one on a roof or ladder.
Is the A2 Certificate of Competency the same as a GVC?
No, they're different qualifications. We hold the A2 Certificate of Competency, which is what's on the record for this business.
Can you send someone else if you're already covering a job nearby?
There's one surveyor and one aircraft on this round, which is part of how the fixed price stays straightforward. If a date doesn't work we'll say so and offer the next one that does.
